AFA mission partners, members, community partners, sponsors, and friends, thank you for all you do! We completed a successful 2024 fundraising campaign culminating with our 34th Golf Thing & Auction events and through your blessings are looking forward to a fantastic 2025 operating year!
We had 120 golfers, over 78 auction items, and over 100 sponsors and donations filling our account with joy that is being spread to support $10,000 in scholarships for our Essay Contest, nine school STEM activities, three Civil Air Patrol squadrons, and Teacher of the Year awards, as well as our operational expenses (10% of our costs).
We cannot do this without support from key people and efforts. Terry Thomas, thank you for leading our fundraising and community partner (CP) efforts. Ted Oats, thanks for getting CPs and attending events and helping out where needed. MSgt Zach Hill, thanks for hosting our newest event, the AFA 645th Golf Tournament aimed at supporting our military and ‘inspire military service’ efforts and stepping up to be our new President. Heidi Ratliff, we make a difference for our veterans because of you! Rich Holsinger for being a mentor and for always helping. Ashley Sneed, L3Harris SERVE lead, for being a great partner and personal inspiration.
To Dr. Jerry Ransom, the LtCol John Murray Family, Charlie and Sharon Helm, the CMSgt Bobbie & Louise McCasland Family, Blackjack Disposal, and other mission supporters, know we are grateful for your help and funding support. You are all equally thanked!
Northeast Texas Chapter 416 was well recognized as a leader in AFA with four AFA national level awards presented in Washington D.C. at the 2024 Field Awards Ceremony, September 14, 2024. Thank you, Terry Thomas, for receiving our awards.
